Lady Doctor Bucktail (Variant)

Body: Yellow Floss.

Tag: Three or four turns of Narrow Flat Gold Tinsel followed by two or three turns of Bright Red Floss.

Tail: The tips of two moderately long and very small yellow neck hackles back to back.

Ribbing: Narrow Flat Gold Tinsel, just the head of the tinsel is palmered a yellow hackle tapering larger toward the head, the balance of the usable part is wound on as a throat.

Throat: A small bunch of Yellow Hackle Fibers, if the remainder of the palmered hackle is not sufficient.

Wings: A small bunch of white polar bear hair over which is a smaller bunch of black bear hair, both extending just beyond the tail.

Topping: Two Jungle Cock feathers tied closely back to back over the wing. They should be half as long as the wing.

Shoulder: Each a red dyed breast feather with a sharp outside edge one third as long as the wing and tied straight along the hook. (Variant dressing shown: Red saddle hackle substituted for breast feather.)

Head: Black.
