Harlequin

Body: Medium flat silver tinsel.

Tail: A section of a red swan or goose wing rather long and thin.

Ribbing: Narrow oval silver tinsel.

Wings: Two long matched sections of goose or swan wing feathers, each section being married from equal parts of black, dark blue, and white, with the black at the top and the blue in the middle the wing is slightly longer t han the tail..

Throat: A badger hackle tied on as a collar and then tied downward.

Head: Black.

 
This fly was originated by Mr. B.A. Gulline, of Fin, Fur, and Feather, Limited., for Mr. W.A. Newman of Montreal, in 1932. It represents a Chubb minnow which has a bluish stripe down it's side. It is one of the most popular flies for trout in Canada. It is a member of the famous Trout Fin series; the other two flies in the series being the Trout Fin, in orange and in red.
