Griffiths' Special Tail: Medium dun cock hackle fibers. Body: Black thread over which (on top of shank) two grizzly hackle tips, tied delta wing style. Hackle: Dark dun cock hackle.
This pattern developed by W.C. Dette which was tied for a doctor Griffiths, seems to incorporate both mayfly and caddis construction methods by utilizing an upright and down wing.
