Carrie Stevens 1882 - 1970

A self-taught fly tier from Upper Dam, Maine, she created some of the most beautiful and enduring streamer patterns ever designed. She originated dozens of patterns for land-locked salmon and giant brook trout located in Maine's Rangeley lakes region. Her patterns Gray Ghost, Blue Devil, Demon, Golden Witch and Orange Miller to name but a few are now standards.
