John Alden Knight

Known as Jack to his friends, Knight was the developer of "The Solunar Theory" in 1926, which gave grades to the quality of fishing one could expect based upon the position of the sun and the moon. Jack Knight also helped to popularize the famous Mickey Finn Bucktail known earlier as the assassin. His books include "The Modern Angler" -published 1936, and "The Theory and Technique of Freshwater Angling" - published 1940.
