Harold Steele Gillum was one of the many young apprentice rod makers of the Payne Fly Rod Shop. A disciple of Eustis Edwards, his fast action, sensitive fly rods are along the lines of Jim Payne's rods. Due to his small output of rods a Gillum rod is considered scarce and greatly sought after by today's fly rod collector.
