Owner and operator of the Westkill Tavern. Art called Schoharie creek his home waters. His book "Streamside Guide" became an instant classic due to it's photos, fly tying recipe, and Art's instructions and observations. Art was the creator of the dun variant, red quill, hendrickson nymph, black-nose, dace bucktail, and other Catskill fly patterns. Art was a major figure in the Catskill fly fishing tradition.
